Toronto’s Canon Theatre (previously the
Pantages Theatre) canopies involved
the fabrication, finishing and assembly of
hundreds of zinc stampings to re-create the
look of the original drawings dating from
the early 20th century. The detail of a maiden
appearing throughout the interior plasterwork
was replicated in large cast aluminum panels
inserted into the canopy. The project consisted
of 130 linear feet of decorative canopy
incorporating two arched entranceways on
the front and rear of the building.
Kew Gardens Bandstand, Toronto, Ontario.
Steptoe fabricated and installed all the
decorative ironwork including columns,
grilles and railings, for the reconstruction
of the Kew Gardens Bandstand in the
historic Beaches area of Toronto.
