Steptoe consults with architects, designers
and developers to determine project requirements.
Included in our range of services are research,
design, fabrication and installation. Designer-
specified shop fixtures, signs and furniture also
form a large part of our work. Dozens of film and
theatre companies have used Steptoe staircases
and custom metalwork in their sets.
The Hamilton Courthouse, Hamilton, Ontario.
The architect for the new Hamilton Courthouse
was determined to replicate the historic stone
detail in patinated stamped sheet bronze panels
and apply them to the new glass curtain wall.
These large panels (each measuring approximately
5’ x 4’6”) were patterned from the original stone
sections and assembled from stampings and
formed sections of heavy gauge sheet bronze.
The completed project is installed 50’ above the
sidewalk and is approximately 100’ in length.
