Steptoe & Wife Antiques Ltd. has been a fixture
in the Toronto design community since 1972 when
it imported and sold English antiques.
Steptoe introduced Curtains Up® decorative drapery
hardware into the business in 1992 and since that
time it has experienced exponential growth across
North America.
Alhambra Hardware Company Inc. was established
February 1, 2003, as a sister company to Steptoe.
The creation of Alhambra comes as a result of the
continued success of Curtains Up® and the growth
of the company’s contract manufacturing operations
for drapery hardware components. Alhambra is now
totally responsible for the design, manufacturing,
warehousing, marketing and sales of Curtains Up®
designer range of distinctive drapery hardware and
other custom decorative drapery hardware lines.
Alhambra Hardware Company Inc. operates from
the Steptoe and Alhambra corporate headquarters,
a 40,000 sq. ft. facility at 90 Tycos Drive, in the
Design and Décor District of Toronto.
